I submitted my Santos 100 XL watch on 12 october 2017 (steel & gold) in abu dhabi (galeria boutique) for a minor repair and i was told at the shop that there is descrepancy in the watch model as per the serial number. They recommended me to send it to Dubai for verification.

(Service No 370**** ) Due to the fact that I did not receive any update from them after a long period, i called their call centre who surprisingly informed me that they have already sent my watch to Geneve without even taking my permission. I did not have any choice but to accept this unprofessionalism in sevicing their clients. After almost 2 weeks from my call, i visited their shop at Galeria to inquire about the status of my watch, surprisingly again, the sales person at the shop showed me an email sent by Cartier Geneve one month back asking if the customer wishes to do a service for the watch. I got very upset that nobody informed me about this email and requested to immediately return back my watch and he promised to call me back within 2 days.

After around 10 days on December 9 2017 at 17:14 and since i did not receive any call from them, I called cartier call centre and they informed me that my watch is in the UAE. On the same day, i visited the cartier galeria boutique who surprisingly again informed me that the watch is still in Geneve and they apologised for not updating me during the 2 months period where my watch was with them and they promised to call me the next day for an update. As i did not trust them, i logged a complaint with their call centre on 9 december 2017 at 21:57 with Fatima who also confirmed that my watch is still in Geneve and promised to give me an update.

Today we are 14 December 2017, i am travelling next week and have not received any single update from Cartier ... Sorry for my long message but this is due to my frustration from your unprofessional customer service which is not expected from a reputable firm...

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Likewise - seems Cartier big on flogging their (now multiple) products and could care less about service/maintenance afterwards. Just another ex luxury brand flogging its expensive and now tawdry products labelled with with a name from a bygone era.
